To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, our lower secondary school hosted a meeting with a representative from Spazio Donna in Bassano del Grappa. Students engaged directly with the topic of gender-based violence, asking questions, sharing reflections, and taking an active role in the discussion about prevention and mutual respect.

This event was part of the interdisciplinary project “We Are Against Violence Towards Women”, which involved several classes. The project aimed to raise awareness of this critical social issue, promote gender equality, and equip students with practical tools to recognize and prevent abuse.

As part of the initiative, students organized a ticket sale for the “March for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women” in Bassano on November 16. Thanks to the efforts of the LS3 students, €380 was raised to support the work of Spazio Donna.

The meeting provided students with the chance to hear firsthand experiences, better understand the societal impact of gender-based violence, and reflect on the role each individual can play in fostering respect and preventing abuse.

Through this project, students turned awareness into action, contributing to a safer, fairer, and more inclusive community.
