Dear Families,
As part of the Well-being at School project, we are pleased to inform you that Lower Secondary students will take part in a session dedicated to health and healthy eating. For class LS3U, the activity will take place on Monday, April 27th; for classes LS2A/2B on Tuesday, April 28th; while for class LS1U, as previously communicated, it was held on Monday, April 20th.
The sessions will be led by an expert biologist and nutritionist, who will explain to students the importance of proper nutrition during this essential stage of their growth and development. The activity will focus on how balanced eating habits can positively affect energy levels, concentration, overall well-being, and both academic and sports performance.
The presentation will include an engaging talk followed by a Q&A session, giving students the opportunity to ask questions, deepen their understanding, and reflect on their daily habits.
We believe this experience will be a valuable addition to our students’ education, helping them make informed choices that support their health and academic success.
Learning objectives for the project:
- Understand the principles of balanced nutrition: Students will identify the key components of a healthy diet and explain how different nutrients support growth, energy, and overall well-being during adolescence.
- Recognize the link between nutrition, learning, and physical performance: Students will explore how proper eating habits influence concentration, school performance, and participation in sports and daily activities.
- Develop awareness of healthy lifestyle choices: Students will reflect on their own eating habits and identify practical ways to make healthier food choices in their everyday lives.
Thank you for your attention and best regards.
Best Regards,
School Office
