Dear Parents,
We would like to inform you that on Tuesday, May 12th, the PY3 class will be taking part in an educational field trip by motorboat to the islands of Torcello, Murano, and Burano.
Aims and Objectives
The purpose of this activity is to introduce students to the lagoon landscape and to appreciate the historical, cultural, and artisanal traditions of the Veneto region. Through this direct experience, students will:
- Observe and describe the lagoon landscape, including its natural and man-made components;
- Understand the relationship between humans and the environment, including from a historical perspective (Torcello);
- Learn about the artisanal traditions of glassmaking in Murano and lacemaking in Burano;
- Develop environmental awareness and respect for our natural and cultural heritage;
- Improve observation, listening, and collaboration skills;
- Foster socialization and the ability to follow rules in an extracurricular setting;
- Stimulate curiosity and motivation for learning.
This trip represents a key moment of active learning, specifically within the Geography curriculum.
Schedule and Organization:
- Departure from school: 7:00 AM (punctuality is required)
- Boarding at Porte Grandi: 9:00 AM
- Return to school: approx. 6:30 PM
- Lunch: A packed lunch will be provided by the school.

- Students may purchase small souvenirs.
- iPads and cameras are strictly prohibited.
