Lower Secondary – Projects 1912 2560 School Office

Dear Parents,

Over the coming months, Lower Secondary School students will take part in two special experiences designed to enrich their educational journey through creativity, hands-on learning and the opportunity to learn from inspiring personal stories.

Below, you will find an overview of the planned projects, for which we kindly ask for a small contribution.

CERAMICS WORKSHOP | 9–13 NOVEMBER 2026

During their Art lessons, students will take part in a ceramics workshop led by Mr Ceschin and Sara Dall’Antonia, a ceramic artist from Scomigo.

Working directly with clay, students will have the opportunity to explore the main modelling techniques and bring their ideas to life, developing their practical skills, creativity and ability to plan and design. The workshop will also offer a chance to discover the value of traditional craftsmanship, learning to pay attention to detail, respect the different stages of the creative process and share a hands-on experience with their classmates.

Each student will create their own piece. All materials will be provided by the ceramic artist, who will also take care of firing the finished creations in the kiln. After approximately two weeks, the finished pieces will be returned to the students for them to take home.

MEETING WITH SIMONE SALVAGNIN | JANUARY 2027

In January 2027, the school will welcome Simone Salvagnin, an internationally renowned visually impaired athlete in paraclimbing, a multiple world champion and Italian champion for eleven consecutive years.

Drawing on his personal and sporting journey, Simone will encourage students to reflect on disability, inclusion and overcoming barriers, showing how sport can become a powerful tool for personal growth, awareness and participation.

Organised as part of the 3Life Project for Schools, the session will consist of two parts. First, students will take part in a practical workshop featuring guided breathing and proprioception exercises, as well as paired activities through which they will experience the importance of listening, communication and mutual trust. This will be followed by a discussion, giving students the opportunity to share their feelings and explore the meaning of inclusion in greater depth.

Simone will then share his story through images and videos, talking about the challenges he has faced, the milestones he has achieved and his journey in the world of sport. The presentation will conclude with a Q&A session, allowing students to ask questions.

Parents are also warmly invited to attend the presentation, learn more about Simone’s inspiring story and join the school community for this important opportunity to raise awareness.

The exact date of the meeting will be communicated as soon as it is confirmed.
