O.RE.Co. stands for Organise, Create and Run: three words that capture the spirit of a project bringing together sport, creativity and collaboration.
It all started with organising the H-FARM Athletics Challenge, followed by the graphic design and production of the medals, created by Lower Secondary students using graphic design software and 3D printers. The project gave students the opportunity to put a range of skills into practice, from planning and digital design to the hands-on creation of a finished product.
On 28 October, on the athletics track, students from Year 3 Primary to Year 8 Lower Secondary took on three athletic disciplines: sprinting, long jump and vortex throwing, before bringing the day to a close with an exciting 4 × 100-metre relay race.
Divided into ten teams inspired by cities that have hosted recent editions of the Olympic Games, students enjoyed a day filled with commitment, fair play and team spirit.
The Results
The overall rankings were calculated based on the average results achieved across the three individual disciplines.
- 1st place – Sydney
- 2nd place – Tokyo
- 3rd place – Atlanta
In the 4 × 100-metre relay, the final rankings were:
- 1st place – Atlanta
- 2nd place – Beijing
- 3rd place – London
The full rankings, including times and all results, will be displayed on the school sports noticeboard.
Congratulations to all participants for their commitment, enthusiasm and sportsmanship! The day showed how sport, technology and collaboration can come together to create a meaningful shared learning experience. A big thank you also to parents who came to cheer and of course all our teachers!!!
