Dear Parents,
We would like to inform you that on Thursday, 5 November, LS2 students will take part in an educational trip to the Tipoteca Italiana in Cornuda and the Antonio Canova Museum and Gipsoteca in Possagno.
Purpose and Learning Objectives:
The day will be divided into two parts.
In the morning, students will visit the Tipoteca Italiana, where they will explore the history of printing, typography and publishing. They will also take part in a hands-on printing and bookbinding workshop, experiencing some stages of the production process and discovering the connections between technology, graphic design, craftsmanship and communication.
In the afternoon, they will travel to Possagno for a guided tour of the Antonio Canova Museum and Gipsoteca. Here, they will learn more about the sculptor’s works, preparatory models and the techniques he used to create his sculptures.
This experience will encourage interdisciplinary connections between Technology, Art and Design, and History, while promoting awareness and appreciation of the local cultural heritage.
Organisational Details
- Departure: 8:00 a.m. from H-IS Rosà by bus. Please ensure students arrive on time.
- Return: scheduled for 3:40 p.m., in time for students to catch their bus home.
- Lunch: a packed lunch provided by the school.
We would like to remind you that this activity is part of the school’s educational field trips and is therefore considered a lesson taking place somewhere other than at school. In the event that a child does not participate, the absence will be recorded in the electronic register.
