This week the first outings of the school year took place, designed to offer students concrete experiences of learning and discovery.
In Primary School, field trips represent an important part of the educational journey. They provide children with the opportunity to explore new contexts, stimulate curiosity, and connect what they learn in class with everyday life. These experiences make learning more tangible and help develop social skills such as collaboration and independence, which are essential for balanced growth.
The Reception and Year 1 classes visited the Rosà Library, a valuable opportunity to introduce the youngest students to the world of books. The activity encouraged love for reading and supported their ability to independently choose texts to explore. They learned how to use library resources, respect shared spaces, and finally enjoyed listening to expressive readings that made the experience even more engaging and stimulating, sparking curiosity and participation.
The Y2A and Y2B classes, on the other hand, took part in the educational trip “Ape Nostra Amica” at the Educational Farm in Mussolente. This experience allowed the children to deepen their understanding of environmental education and discover the world of bees. Through hands-on and immersive activities, the young explorers learned about the ecosystem of these insects, understanding their importance for environmental balance and food production.
Both outings represented meaningful moments of active and participatory learning, enriching school education with real-world experiences that strengthened the children’s cognitive, social, and environmental skills.
