Dear Parents,
We would like to inform you that on Wednesday, September 30, the PY1 class will take part in an educational field trip to La Greppia educational farm.
The children will take part in the programme “Little Farmers Discovering the Secret Stable”, including the workshop “From Little Farmers to Little Cheesemakers” and a creative clay workshop.
During the guided visit, they will explore the farm and learn about cows, their diet and milking, following the journey of milk from the stable to the production of yogurt, which they will also have the opportunity to taste.
Purpose of the trip
The experience aims to encourage children’s curiosity and respect for nature, animals and the environment, while connecting hands-on activities with learning about food, science and sustainability. Through observation, exploration and tasting, they will discover where everyday foods come from and engage their senses in a meaningful learning experience.
Organisational details
- Departure from H-IS Rosà: 9:00 a.m. by coach
- Return: approximately 3:30 p.m.
- Lunch: packed lunch provided by the school
- Clothing: school uniform suitable for outdoor, wellington boots or sturdy shoes, and a clean pair of shoes to change into before getting back on the bus. We also recommend bringing a rain jacket (K-way) in the backpack. Please ensure the backpack is large enough to hold the packed lunch.
- The children will be accompanied by their class teachers.
We would like to remind you that this activity is part of the school’s educational programme and is therefore considered a regular school day. If a child does not participate, the absence will be recorded in the electronic register.
